Abstract In this paper, the Joule-Thomson expansion of Born-Infeld AdS black holes is studied in extended phase space, where cosmological constant identified with pressure. The coefficient, inversion curves and isenthalpic are discussed detail using a 4-dimensional hole. critical point hole depicted varying parameter charge Q . T-P plane, temperature obtained different We find that missing negative slope still conserved holes. also extend our discussion to arbitrary dimension higher than 4. minimum compared. ratio asymptotically 1/2 as increases or \beta\to\infty D = 4 , reproduces previous results at dimensions.
